Anthony Rendon is back in the Nationals’ lineup today against Mike Leake and the Reds, with Steve Lombardozzi heading back to the bench and Danny Espinosa moving up to the No. 2 spot in Davey Johnson’s batting order.

“I want him to think about line drives, getting on base, that kind of thing,” Johnson said of Espinosa. “Last year, I hit him first a few times. … Also, I want to play Rendon, so he’s the best fit in my mind.”

We’ll see if it makes a difference today; the lineup hasn’t mattered much in the first two games of this series with Gio Gonzalez and Jordan Zimmermann throwing back-to-back one-hitters for the Nats. Can Dan Haren keep this run going?
