Nationals - Braves lineups: Wilson Ramos activated from DL but won't start

ATLANTA — The Nationals activated catcher Wilson Ramos from the disabled list Monday afternoon, optioning Jhonatan Solano back to Triple-A, but he won’t start in Monday night’s game against the Atlanta Braves.

Ramos felt significant improvement with his left hamstring over the weekend in a rehab assignment and is ready to return, but he is on the bench Monday night while Kurt Suzuki catches Stephen Strasburg.

The Nationals go into this four-game series with Atlanta knowing that the Braves’ three-game sweep of them back at Nationals Park was not representative of how competitive they feel they can be against them. Their first chance to show that is Monday night.

Here are the full lineups:

Denard Span CF
Danny Espinosa 2B
Bryce Harper LF
Jayson Werth RF
Adam LaRoche 1B

Chad Tracy 3B
Kurt Suzuki C
Stephen Strasburg P

Braves
