MILWAUKEE — Jayson Werth was in good spirits as he made himself comfortable inside the visitors’ clubhouse at Miller Park Sunday morning. Saturday, Werth was pulled from the game in the sixth inning after tweaking his groin and manager Davey Johnson said he’d probably keep the right fielder out of the lineup on Sunday.

But Werth, who was optimistic the groin issue was extremely minor, said he’d have to see how he felt.

He understood Johnson’s desire to make sure Werth wouldn’t jeopardize his health one game before an important three-game series with the Braves that starts Monday. But if he felt up to it, Werth figured he’d play.

The Nationals announced their lineup about an hour before gametime and Werth was indeed in right field and hitting cleanup.

Here are the full lineups for the Nationals’ finale with the Brewers as they look for their first three-game sweep since they swept the San Diego Padres on July 5-7.
