WASHINGTON (AP) — In this day and age, maybe it figures that a good ol’ fashioned baseball brawl would take place in the Twitterverse instead of on the diamond.

The official Twitter feeds of the Braves and Nationals mixed it up a bit Tuesday night, shortly after players from both teams spilled out of the dugouts and bullpens — but no punches were thrown — when Atlanta’s Julio Teheran hit Washington’s Bryce Harper with a pitch in the fifth inning.

In Harper’s prior at-bat, he homered off Teheran.

After getting hit, Harper barked at Teheran and pointed at him.

The Braves tweeted: “Clown move bro,” tweaking Harper’s famous retort to a reporter, “That’s a clown question, bro.”

The Nationals replied: “Which part, giving up the home run, or drilling the 20-year-old on the first pitch his next time up?”
