Nationals - Padres lineups: Looking for a sweep

The Washington Nationals will send Stephen Strasburg to the mound Sunday afternoon in search of their first three-game sweep since April.

The Nationals have not swept a three-game series since they took three straight from the Chicago White Sox on April 9-11. In that series, they scored 20 runs. In the first two games of their series with the Padres, they’ve scored 13. 

They may not need to get seven on Sunday — particularly if Strasburg continues to pitch the way he has of late. When the Nationals score three runs or more they are 40-10.

According to the team’s PR staff, in games in which their underachieving offense scores two runs or fewer, the Nationals are 5-32. 

Adam LaRoche gets a day off against left-hander Robbie Erlin with Tyler Moore getting the start at first base.
