LOS ANGELES — Jordan Zimmermann will take the mound at Dodger Stadium tonight looking to continue a start to the season that is treading into unrivaled territory. And as the Nationals kick off a 10-game west coast road trip Monday night, Zimmermann will do it throwing to the same guy he’s thrown to the last six starts.

Kurt Suzuki, who was ejected in the ninth inning of Sunday’s game, gets the back-to-back starts. Wilson Ramos caught Zimmermann’s first start of the season, but Suzuki has caught him since. In that span, Zimmermann is 5-1 with a 1.60 ERA.

At the outset of the season, Davey Johnson said he would alternate his catchers, but he’s also said that he is not averse to playing matchups or the hot hand. He started Wilson Ramos back-to-back games on the team’s previous road trip, and he’s doing it now with Suzuki.
