Nationals - Dodgers lineups: Denard Span, Bryce Harper out

LOS ANGELES — One day after he endured a scary collision but came away without serious injury, Washington Nationals outfielder Bryce Harper was out of the starting lineup. Center fielder Denard Span was also missing from the lineup, giving the Nationals an unorthodox outfield against left-hander Clayton Kershaw.

It was perhaps the most different looking lineup manager Davey Johnson has rolled out this season, featuring an outfield of Steve Lombardozzi, Eury Perez and Tyler Moore.

X-rays done on Harper’s left shoulder and left leg came back negative, but he’s listed as day-to-day and the Nationals expected to know more about his condition later this afternoon. As for Span’s absence, it may be as simple as the left-hander on the mound for the Dodgers, but we’ll find out when the clubhouse opens in a few minutes.

Here are the full lineups:

Danny Espinosa 2B
Steve Lombardozzi LF
Ryan Zimmerman 3B
Ian Desmond SS

Dodgers
