Nationals - Mets lineups: Bryce Harper returns to lineup, hits cleanup

NEW YORK — As expected, Bryce Harper returned to the Washington Nationals’ lineup on Wednesday and he was batting cleanup as the Nationals take on the Mets and young phenom Zack Wheeler. 

Harper was excited to return to the Nationals’ lineup, looking forward to the team’s final 18 regular season games and hopeful he won’t have to deal with any more significant injury setbacks along the way. 

Wilson Ramos is starting his 19th straight game behind the plate.

The Cincinnati Reds already won today so the Nationals will begin the game 6.5 games back in the wild card.
