Nationals - Diamondbacks lineups: Adam LaRoche, Denard Span sit

PHOENIX — The Washington Nationals will begin the first of their final three games of the season by resting Denard Span and Adam LaRoche against the left-handed Patrick Corbin Friday night in Arizona.

Davey Johnson said in St. Louis on Wednesday that he would leave it up to the players, but it seems as though he may have decided to give the two left-handers the night off given the opposing starter. 

At any rate, Stephen Strasburg will make his final start of the year.
