\ Marshall was snapped up by Cincinnati and was playing a bunch for former Redskins defensive boss Marvin Lewis until he tore his left Achilles’ tendon Monday against New England. The injury was eerily reminiscent of the ruptured Achilles suffered by Marshall’s predecessor as Washington’s weak side backer, LaVar Arrington, last October in his first and only season with the New York Giants after being cut by the Redskins.\

\ Wynn, meanwhile, signed with New Orleans after the Saints were trampled in their opener at Indianapolis. He was inactive in their next loss before playing in the Week 3 defeat that sent them into last week’s bye winless a year after they advanced to the NFC Championship Game. Making Wynn feel worse, the Notre Dame product’s beloved Fighting Irish are a stunning 0-5.\
