Rep. Jesse L. Jasckson Jr. says he did not discuss buying a U.S. Senate seat when he talked to Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich, who is charged with corruption, Christina Bellantoni and Ben Conery are reporting.

You know, when your lawyer’s opening statement is something like “he’s done nothing wrong,” something’s probably wrong. And when Illinois Attorney General Patrick Fitzgerald comes a-knockin’, you know something’s wrong.
