The mayor of Batman, Turkey, is suing Warner Bros. for the unauthorized use of his city’s name in the movie company’s “Batman” flicks, Variety is reporting.

Since “The Dark Knight” has collected about $1 billion in worldwide receipts, the mayor of Batman thinks some of that money should come his way … er, his town’s way to pay for an increase in violence there he attributes to the film.

Really?  C’mon!  Where were you when “Batman and Robin” was in theaters?  That would have been the time to sue.  That movie gave Batman a bad name.
