Nebraska lawmakers are considering tweaking their safe haven law by setting an age limit on children to be abandoned by their overwhlemed parents, the AP is reporting.

When they enacted the law, lawmakers didn’t specify an age limit, so parents started abandoning kids as old as 17 and 18.
