Chinese communist leadership has banned “Chinese Democracy,” the new album by Guns N’ Roses, the Wall Street Journal is reporting.

In a country that measures “recent” events in centuries, Chinese officials say that 15 years is far too long to wait for the release of a new rock album, especially one by Axl Rose.

China’s leaders don’t want the people to get any funny ideas that “Chinese Democracy” might engender, such as “democracy in China” or “overwrought power ballads are a good thing.”

It had taken Axl Rose so long to produce the album that many people thought China would have democracy by the time it was released.

Axl has gone right back into the studio to work on a new album titled “Tiananmen Square Not.” Look for it to be released in 2034.
