Town bans lights for Milky Way view

A town in Maine has banned the use of new outdoor lights so that people there can get a better view of the Milky Way, the Boston Globe is reporting.

Some residents are complaining that they need a better view of where they’re going at night. Town officials have responded with a new lighting program — daybreak.
