Forbes.com reports that sometimes the rich get poorer.

Some of the country’s wealthiest business people have lost billions of dollars in the economic downturn.

It looks like I’m not the only one who won’t be retiring anytime soon.

Actually, I don’t know if those billionaires really miss that money all that much.

For example, casino mogul Sheldon Adelson has lost $4 billion since last year. That means he has only $11 billion left, and who can live on that?

Even Bill Gates lost money, about $1.5 billion, which I think he left in one of his coat pockets. Check your drying cleaning, Bill.

At least Warren Buffett made some money — about $8 billion. Now he’s the country’s richest person, having dethroned Bill Gates. We’re watching you, Warren. We’re watching you.
