The defense in O.J. Simpson’s kidnapping/armed robbery trial in Las Vegas rested without calling the NFL Hall of Famer and Hesiman Trophy winner to the stand.

You know, defense attorneys didn’t let O.J. take the stand in last trial, either.

Hmmm. You’d think there be nothing more compelling than hearing the defendant say “I didn’t do it” on the witness stand.

Then again, O.J. would be under oath.

And Vegas has an unusually high rate of lightning strikes.

In courtrooms.

During kidnapping/armed robbery trials.

Of NFL Hall of Famers and Heisman Trophy winners.
