A New York City restaurant returned a 20-pound lobster to the sea after an animal rights group pleaded that the crustacean be spared, the AP is reporting.

The lobster, which is thought to be between 80 and 140 years old, was thrown back into the sea off the coast of Maine.

The lobster was promptly eaten by a cod.  With a bit of lemon and drawn butter.
