The AP is reporting that a person close to Caroline Kennedy said she has renewed her bid for the U.S. Senate seat vacated by Hillary Clinton, a day after she removed herself from consideration for the appointment.

Caroline Kennedy had misgivings about the job after her uncle, Sen. Ted Kennedy, had a seizure during an inaugural luncheon.

She’s in, she’s out, she’s in, she’s out — I’m getting dizzy trying to keep up with all the buzz over this appointment.  Almost makes me wish for an election.

New York Gov. David Paterson is required to make the appointment, and it’s been widely reported that he had settled on Caroline Kennedy.  So if he doesn’t make a decision, she might help make it for him — again.

It looks like Caroline Kennedy might follow the John Kerry style of “senatoring.”  He voted for a war funding bill before he voted against it.  She took herself out of the race before she put herself in it.

You know, you don’t have to be decisive to be a U.S. senator, but you do have to be able to at least fake it … sometimes.
