Nearly all of the $5.7 million Bill Clinton earned in speaking fees last year came from foreign companies, the AP is reporting.

The information is in financial documents filed by his wife, Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton.

The former president collected $4.6 million in speaking fees from companies in Canada, Mexico, Germany, India, Hong Kong, Portugal and Malaysia, as well as the national bank of Kuwait.

There are some concerns that the Clintons’ finances to foreign companies might impair the secretary of state’s dealings in foreign capitals, but this report shows she gets along well with foreign capital.
