An Illinois man who yelled at and pushed an umpire at his daughter’s softball game was sentenced to five days in jail for assault and battery, the Chicago Tribune is reporting.

The hot-headed dad also will have to take anger management classes.

The classes, which aren’t known for being effective, are taught by coach Bobby Knight.

I don’t know what kind of example that dad was trying to set, but he set one. Boy, did he set one!

It’s a little sad when parents are trying to relive their glory days through their kids — and their kids are living through their glory days by bailing their parents out of jail.
