Secretary of State Hillary Clinton says the Obama administration no longer is using the term “war on terror,” Reuters is reporting.

“The administration has stopped using the phrase, and I think that speaks for itself. Obviously,” she said while traveling to The Hague for a conference on Afghanistan.

I guess it’s just plain-old war, then.  I sure hope it’s not something like “disagreement with terror.”

Maybe the change in terminology is intended to lull the terrorists into a false sense of security.  “You can stop hiding and come on out.  We’re not at war with you.  Yeah, that’s it. … WHAM!”

If we’re not at war with the terrorists, then who was President Obama talking about defeating the other day?  General Motors?
