     Wizards team spokesman Scott Hall and another league front office executive both confirmed that Washington has officially signed Flip Saunders to be the head coach.

     According to the executive, speaking on the condition of anonymity, Saunders’ deal is worth roughly $18 million over four years.

     So, it’s finally done. Nine days after news broke that Saunders would be the next coach, the Ernie Grunfeld and Co. and Saunders finally worked out all the wrinkles in the contract. An official press release is expected to come from the Wizards tomorrow and they plan to hold a press conference to introduce him on Thursday.
