The broken record continues as the Wizards again hung tough with an opponent for a period of time and then collapsed.

There’s no other way to put it other than this is a bad Wizards team. Only 14 assists opposed to 18 turnovers that went for 26 Miami points? The Heat didn’t shoot well at all — just 39 percent — but they made 10 3-pointers and 19 of 22 free throws. That made the difference right there.

And the Wizards again got very little from anyone outside of Butler and Jamison and the team fell short yet again.

“It’s just a bunch of letdowns,” Caron Butler said. “Andray was coming along, he got injured. Thought Gilbert was coming back soon, that didn’t happen. It’s just a letdown after let down.”

The Wizards fly to Philly tonight and will practice there tomorrow and then play the Sixers on Fridya night.
