Just checked in with Caron Butler, and he said that the MRI done today showed some fluid build-up in his left hamstring. He didn’t know the cause for the inflammation, but said that he doesn’t expect to be back on the court for a bit.
Butler is traveling with the team, however, on their four-game, five-day trip out West, which begins tomorrow in Utah, and will just “see how it goes.” The Wizards will then play the Los Angeles Clippers on Wednesday, have Thursday off then play at Denver and Phoenix on Friday and Saturday, respectively.
Team spokesman Scott Hall said Butler will officially be listed as day-to-day.
Ed Tapscott gave the Wizards the day off from practice, but they’ll use a portion of the flight out to Utah to go over yesterday’s game film.
