President Bush today said he thinks one of the presidential candidates is presuming he is going to win Tuesday’s election.
Following a brief statement to reporters with Masoud Barzani, president of the Kurdistan Regional Government, Mark Smith of the Associated Press caught the president’s eye.
“Hey, how ya doing?” the president asked Smith.
Like a good reporter, Smith had a question ready.
“Anybody measuring the drapes sir?” Smith asked.
The president, watching Smith and other reporters being ushered out of the Oval Office, laughed, paused for a moment, and then said, “Sounds like it.”
Poll numbers would indicate the president is speaking of Democrat Barack Obama. But who knows?
