This might be a first for a White House spokesperson.

Scott Stanzel, 35, deputy White House press secretary and an avid runner, completed the Iron Man competition in Madison, Wis., on Sunday in 12 hours, 27 minutes, 33 seconds.

The Iron Man consists of a 2.4-mile swim, 112 miles of cycling, and then a full 26.2-mile marathon.

That’s enough to make the rest of us feel like total slackers. Congrats from POTUS Notes to Mr. Stanzel.
