Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal used Twitter Friday morning to point to an editorial in The Advocate, a local news outlet, supporting his plan to spare hospitals and schools from excessive budget cuts and to limit the degree to which the state government can lock in permanent funding streams.
Politico uber-reporter Mike Allen announced on Twitter that he was working on article about … Twitter.
Amid it all, ABC’s Jake Tapper, who had at that point posted to the service a grand total of one time, wondered “if twitter will be a flash in the pan.”
But only 14 minutes later, Tapper began a Twizzard from the White House East Room, blasting out a series of at least 10 (at this writing) little details from an event with President Obama and mayors from around the country: “watching mayors in the east room”; “VP Biden is speaking. mayors have been taking pics w their cameras and cell phones”; “a parlor game; spot the mayor. villaraigosa, nagin, dellums, franklin, newsom, frankel. to my philly homies, event is nutter-less”; and “VP Biden gives the wrong website, saying “recovery.com” when the real one is “recovery.gov.”
That’s just in the past few hours. Interesting to see where all this goes. In the meantime, follow me on Twitter here and my colleague Christina Bellantoni, who rocked the president’s trip to Canada yesterday on Twitter, here. The Washington Times also has a Twitter page here.
