As the Redskins return to practice Monday morning and turn their attention to Friday’s preseason opener against Pittsburgh, this is as good a time as any to catch you up on some rookie contract details.

The information below was obtained from sources that provided it on the condition of anonymity.

Redskins outside linebacker Ryan Kerrigan, the 16th-overall pick, signed a fully-guaranteed four-year contract worth $8.72 million. The deal includes a signing bonus of $4.842 million.

By comparison, the 16th-overall pick in 2010 (Tennessee Titans defensive end Derrick Morgan) signed a six-year, $19 million deal with $11 million guaranteed, according to The Tennessean.

Kerrigan’s annual base salaries are $375,000 in 2011; $771,377 in 2012; $1.167 million in 2013; and $1.564 million in 2014. Again, all of that is guaranteed.

Defensive end Jarvis Jenkins, the Redskins’ second-round pick and the 41st-overall selection, signed a four-year deal worth a maximum of $4.783 million. His signing bonus was $1.978 million.

Jenkins’ $375,000 base salary this season is guaranteed. Approximately 85 percent of his $542,395 base salary in 2012 is guaranteed.

His non-guaranteed base salary is scheduled to be $709,789 in 2013 and $927,184 in 2014. Jenkins also could earn an additional $250,000 in workout bonuses over the life of the contract.
