For a Redskins offense in need of weapons to keep up with the Eagles, the loss of Chris Cooley could hurt.

So when Philadelphia cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha drilled Cooley with 5:32 left in the first quarter, fans at FedEx Field groaned. Not only was the Redskins’ drive halted by the crushing tackle, but Cooley took quite the blow.

The news got worse, as the team announced he had an injured left hand and listed his return as questionable. Cooley could be seen on the sideline in the second quarter with his jersey – but no pads – on.

Eric Bickel of 106.7 The Fan reported that Cooley “shattered” his left index finger.

Left tackle Trent Williams left the game in the second quarter with a right ankle injury, with Sean Locklear replacing him. Left guard Kory Lichtensteiger left earlier with a right knee injury, forcing Will Montgomery to that spot and bringing rookie Erik Cook into the game.

The team announced all three players were “questionable” to return.
