The Redskins announced the re-signing of fourth-string quarterback Jonathan Crompton on Wednesday, less than two days after releasing him.

Crompton, who spent last season on the Redskins’ practice squad, didn’t get many snaps during team drills in training camp, as the Redskins prioritized getting Robert Griffin III, Kirk Cousins and Rex Grossman reps.
