Quarterback Robert Griffin III moved fine at Redskins practice Thursday morning, a day after he tested his mildly sprained right knee at full speed in live reps Wednesday.
Coach Mike Shanahan is expected to elaborate on the extent of Griffin’s participation in practice and other injured players’ status after the session concludes around 1:45 p.m.
Griffin hopes to play Sunday’s road game against the Philadelphia Eagles. Team doctors held him out of last Sunday’s 38-21 victory over the Cleveland Browns.
Griffin, during the brief period of practice open to media practiced handoffs, planted on his injured right leg and threw a variety of passes, as he did last Wednesday and last week.
In other player news, I did not see right tackle Tyler Polumbus (concussion) during the brief period of practice that was open to reporters.
Linebacker Lorenzo Alexander (shoulder) wore a regular burgundy jersey instead of the gold non-contact jersey he wore Wednesday.
