London Fletcher and Trent Williams are active for the Washington Redskins against the New York Giants on “Monday Night Football.” Both will start after being listed as questionable with injuries.
Fletcher has been dealing with a left ankle injury. He was limited in practice Friday and Saturday. His active NFL record streak of consecutive games played is set to hit 236 against New York.
Williams suffered a left thigh bruise in the Redskins’ Thanksgiving Day victory over the Dallas Cowboys. He played the rest of that game at about 60 percent.
There didn’t seem to be any doubt within the Redskins’ locker room, especially about Fletcher suiting up.
“He came off of three days of rest and went out there and played three quarters of the game. He’s going to go out there and start the game,” linebacker Lorenzo Alexander said last week. “I mean I’m going to be ready, but I know he’s going to start the game.”
Inactive for the Redskins are quarterback Rex Grossman, wide receiver Dez Briscoe, cornerback Richard Crawford, linebacker Roddrick Muckelroy, defensive end Doug Worthington and guards Josh LeRibeus and Adam Gettis.
