The Redskins have shuffled their cornerbacks, claiming Morgan Trent off waivers and waiving veteran Leigh Torrence. They announced the move Wednesday afternoon, although Morgan announced his involvement over the weekend.

Trent played in 12 games last season for three teams. He played in six for the Cincinnati Bengals, who drafted him out of Michigan in the sixth round in 2009. He appeared in one game for the Indianapolis Colts and two for the Jacksonville Jaguars. Jacksonville waived him on May 31.

In three NFL seasons, he has played in 36 regular season games (three starts). He has 59 tackles, three interceptions, one sack, 11 passes defensed and two fumble recoveries.

The Redskins signed Torrence earlier this offseason to provide depth.
