ARLINGTON, Texas – Inside linebacker London Fletcher and wide receiver Pierre Garcon are active for Thursday’s game against the Dallas Cowboys after testing their respective injuries during warm-ups.
Fletcher’s streak of 234 consecutive games played, tied for the longest active streak in the league, was in jeopardy because he sprained his left ankle against the Philadelphia Eagles only four days earlier. He did not practice on Tuesday but participated to a limited extent Wednesday.
Garcon felt well enough to play on his sprained right foot after testing it against the grassy artificial turf at Cowboys Stadium. Washington’s top X receiver returned from a four-game absence against Philadelphia and had three receptions for only five yards.
The Redskins deactivated seven healthy players: quarterback Rex Grossman, receiver Dez Briscoe, cornerback Richard Crawford, cornerback Jerome Murphy, guard Adam Gettis, offensive lineman Maurice Hurt and defensive end Doug Worthington.
