Santana Moss' gas station encounter with Redskins fan

In the days since Robert Griffin III’s memorable touchdown run, Santana Moss hasn’t been able to forget it. The Washington Redskins wide receiver has seen it plenty on television thanks to ESPN.

“Other than that, I haven’t been hearing much else about it. I’m pretty sure the fans out there are going to work repping real hard,” Moss said.

But he did have one encounter that stood out.

“I was somewhere, at a gas station, and a guy asks me, ‘How ‘bout those Redskins?’ He didn’t even know I played,” Moss recalled Wednesday. “He was like, ‘Oh man, I was there.’ I was like, ‘Yeah, it was a good one, huh?’ He was like ‘Yeah.’ He was like, ‘That run man, I haven’t seen nothing like that in a long time, but that’s special,’ and then he walked out.”

Moss didn’t tell the fan that he was on the team or even that he was at FedEx Field for the 76-yard touchdown.

“Nah, he said. “I don’t get into all that.”
