PITTSBURGH | London Fletcher was made active for Sunday’s game at the Pittsburgh Steelers, meaning his active NFL record streak of consecutive games will reach 232.

The Washington Redskins middle linebacker had been dealing with balance problems and a right hamstring strain during the week. He practiced fully Friday and was officially listed as questionable.

Fletcher left the loss at the New York Giants with the hamstring injury and said Friday he had been dealing with the balance issues for a couple of weeks but finally told team trainers Monday.

Inactive against the Steelers were quarterback Rex Grossman, wide receiver Pierre Garcon, safety Brandon Meriweather, cornerback Richard Crawford, defensive end Doug Worthington and guards Adam Gettis and Josh LeRibeus.

Crawford, a seventh-round pick last spring, impressed in training camp and saw increased action when Cedric Griffin was out, was made inactive for the first time this season. Griffin being healthy and David Jones emerging as a valuable player on special teams likely led to Crawford’s demotion.

The Steelers made running backs Rashard Mendenhall and Isaac Redman inactive, meaning Jonathan Dwyer will get the start. Safety Troy Polamalu was inactive again with a calf injury that has been bothering him.
