Lost in the understandable uproar over Joshua Morgan telling reporters he received death threats on Twitter after his unsportsmanlike conduct penalty Sunday was the fact that he was disciplined by the NFL.

He said he thought it was a league punishment, not a team one. He did not know what the amount was.

“I think so. I haven’t even looked at it yet,” Morgan said.

Coach Mike Shanahan seemed to indicate Monday that he would not punish Morgan, even though the penalty happened in the final minutes and contributed to the Redskins’ 31-28 loss.
