Left tackle Trent Williams received good news about his right knee injury Monday. An MRI showed no ligament tear, coach Mike Shanahan said. Williams is day-to-day with a bone bruise.

Running back Evan Royster (right patellar tendon strain), cornerback Cedric Griffin (hamstring) and running back Roy Helu Jr. (sprained left big toe) also are day-to-day.

Safety Brandon Meriweather (sprained left knee) will be re-evaluated when the team returns to practice Wednesday.

“He did take a lot of reps last week with the scout team, so you know he’s close,” Shanahan said. “To say he’s going to be ready this week, I can’t tell you until we see him in live situations. “

Wide receiver Pierre Garcon (right foot) also will be re-evaluated Wednesday. “He’s getting treatment every day,” Shanahan said. “I’m hoping when he gets on the practice field on Wednesday he’s feeling a lot better and, hopefully, ready to play.”
