  • Linebacker Ryan Kerrigan warm to Pro Bowl changes

    Starting with the 2014 game, it’s no longer a matchup of teams representing the two conferences. Instead, voting by fans, coaches and players will determine Pro Bowl rosters without regard to conference. The two leading vote getters will serve as captains and pick teams. Published August 2 2013

  • Redskins training camp observations - Thu., Aug. 1

    Thursday afternoon's padded practice was the most intense, physical and competitive session of camp. It included work on what Mike Shanahan called the “turbo offense” – no huddle, hurry-up situations. Also, players hit all the way to the end. Quarterback Robert Griffin III moved smoothly during agility drills. Published August 1 2013

    Safety Brandon Meriweather sat out team drills Thursday for the fourth straight day, an inauspicious trend as he tries to come back from December surgery to reconstruct the ACL in his right knee. Published August 1 2013

  • Redskins agree with free agent linebacker Nick Barnett

    Washington was attracted to Barnett's experience in a 3-4 defense and the fact he has more than 100 tackles in eight of his 10 NFL seasons. He played the last two seasons for Buffalo and his first eight for Green Bay. Published August 1 2013
