Seven players, including four who finished the season on the Washington Redskins’ practice squad, were signed by the team to futures contracts on Tuesday.

The Redskins retained the rights of guard Tevita Stevens, running back Davin Meggett, cornerback Peyton Thompson and tight end Gabe Miller, allowing them to participate in offseason workouts. Meggett, signed to the practice squad on Nov. 12, played at the University of Maryland.

They also signed tight end Richard Quinn, cornerback Ryan Mouton and punter Robert Malone. Quinn played one game with the Redskins in 2011, while Mouton was with the team in training camp but was cut because he strained his left hamstring. Malone has played in 31 games, including all 16 with the New York Jets last season.

Players who did not finish the season on a team’s active roster are eligible to be signed to such contracts.
