Tight end Jordan Reed is inactive and will miss his third consecutive game on Sunday as the Washington Redskins play host to the Kansas City Chiefs.

Reed, still recovering from a concussion sustained Nov. 17 in a game against the Philadelphia Eagles, experienced a headache after warming up last week and was unable to play for the second consecutive week.

Fullback Darrel Young is also inactive and will miss his third consecutive game because of a strained hamstring, while free safety Brandon Meriweather will sit out against the Chiefs after bruising his sternum in the Redskins’ loss to the New York Giants a week ago.

Tight end Niles Paul is active after battling a stomach illness all that week and did not attend the game. Strong safety Reed Doughty, who sustained a concussion last week in the loss to the New York Giants, is active and will play. So, too, will left tackle Trent Williams, inside linebacker London Fletcher and cornerback DeAngelo Hall, all of whom were considered probable on the injury report during the week.

Quarterback Rex Grossman, left guard Josh LeRibeus, outside linebacker Brandon Jenkins and cornerback Chase Minnifield are inactive and will not play.

Chiefs outside linebacker Justin Houston, left tackle Branden Albert and tight end Anthony Fasano were ruled out on Friday because of injury and will not play. Third quarterback Tyler Bray, center Eric Kush, left guard Rishaw Johnson and defensive tackle Jaye Howard are also inactive.
