Ron Brace, former Patriots nose tackle, signs with Redskins

Former New England Patriots nose tackle Ron Brace has signed with the Redskins, the team announced Thursday. Terms were not disclosed.

The 26-year-old has appeared in 39 regular-season games, including seven starts. New England released him Dec. 29.

A Massachusetts native, the 6-foot-3, 330-pound Brace was a second-round pick (No. 40 overall) out of Boston College in the 2009 draft. He was a second-team All-ACC selection as a senior in 2008.
