Redskins left tackle Trent Williams was replaced on the NFC Pro Bowl roster Friday afternoon by Minnesota Vikings rookie Matt Kalil, according to a post on the Vikings’ official Twitter account.
It was not immediately clear why Kalil replaced Williams. Williams did not immediately return a phone message. Such changes, especially so late in the week, usually are due to injury. Williams played the final month of the season through a severely bruised left thigh.
Players have been in Hawaii all week preparing for the NFL’s annual all-star game, which is Sun., Jan. 27.
Updates to come as information warrants.
