The predictions panel enters the postseason for the first time. While the majority of national analysts are picking the favored Seahawks, the opposite is true of our local panel.

I picked Washington because I believe the Redskins will have a meaningful home field advantage and because I fancy Kyle Shanahan’s ability to generate yards and points. I expect Seattle to move the ball on the ground and in the air, though. The Redskins must stop the run and keep Russell Wilson in the pocket. Turnovers, as usual, will be major determining factors in the outcome.

The Seahawks are favored by 3. I taking the Redskins and the points are the percentage play, but obviously Seattle is capable of winning the game.
