The Chicago Bears are without quarterback Jay Cutler for the remainder of Sunday’s game against the Redskins at FedEx Field.

Cutler was hurt with 10:09 left in the second quarter when he was sacked by Washington defensive lineman Chris Baker and rolled over on the turf twice. He left the game with what was called a groin injury.Cutler was originally said to be questionable to return, but the Bears ruled him out at halftime.

Cutler was 3 of 8 passing for 28 yards with one interception before departing, for a passer rating of 8.3.

Josh McCown, an eight-year NFL veteran, has come into the game for the Bears, who had just 28 passing yards in the first half. But McCown had not taken a snap in a regular-season NFL game since 2011 with Chicago.
