Redskins training camp practice observations - Thu., July 25

On one repetition during position drills, quarterback Robert Griffin III planted hard on his surgically-repaired right leg as he faked a handoff, and then changed direction and rolled right on a bootleg. Inside linebacker Keenan Robinson was injured on what appeared to be an innocuous play over the middle.

Redskins injury updates (July 25)

Inside linebacker Keenan Robinson underwent an MRI exam Thursday evening after leaving the Redskins’ afternoon practice with an injury. Results were not immediately available. Trainers and a team doctor evaluated his left shoulder area on the field.

Redskins training camp preview: Special teams

Kickoff returner is the greatest personnel uncertainty. Niles Paul doesn't have game-breaking speed, and he fumbled once late last season after taking over for Brandon Banks. Kai Forbath’s field-goal accuracy last season established more certainty than the Redskins had at kicker last summer.

Even if this isn’t London Fletcher’s last season, establishing his replacement is an urgent matter because of his importance to the defense as the MIKE inside linebacker. Keenan Robinson, a fourth-round pick in 2012, is the leading candidate right now.
