Randle El taped up, resting

Just dashed back inside and up the stairs to my laptop to report that receiver Antwaan Randle El, who was supped to be fine after injuring a wrist in Saturday’s victory over Buffalo, isn’t taking part in this afternoon’s practice. Randle El practiced on Monday and again this morning, but he has left wrist forearm either heavily taped or in a soft cast. He’s watching practice in a baseball cap as is defensive end Jason Taylor, who probably has one of those veterans’ excused absences that coaches sometimes give 30-something players. Amazingly, 35-year-old guard Pete Kendall, bad knees and all, hasn’t used one this summer. Also, cornerback Shawn Springs remains out with a strained calf as does safety LaRon Landry with a bad hamstring.

Back to the field now.
