This morning’s session might have been the most intese of the camp, especially the team stuff at the end. There was a lot of woofing back and forth between the first-team defense (led by Fred Smoot of course) and the first-team offense (led by Randy Thomas) as the two groups actually got to go against each other for a little bit.
Andre Carter’s dad, Rubin, took in practice. He has been in town since Friday, and he told me he’s only seen his son practice “two or three times” and that was in high school.
As for some notes:
*Jim Zorn said safety LaRon Landry had another MRI on his left hamstring and there is still a slight strain. He also said Landry might be a slower healer than other guys.
*Shawn Springs did not practice again. He said it has always been a calf injury and not anything with his achilles, and he told me he expects to be back practicing tomorrow.
*Zorn said Colt Brennan was “less disciplined” in his second preseason game, moving around when he should have stayed put and vice versa. Brennan said he has been dealing with a tight hamstring for a couple of weeks, but he thinks it has healed the past couple of days.
