Cerrato: no discussion about coaching change

Washington vice president of football operations Vinny Cerrato said on his radio show today that he expects first-year coach Jim Zorn to return in 2009 despite the Redskins‘ 1-5 nosedive from a 6-2 midseason record.

“That question has never been brought up,” Cerrato said. “I hear about that in the media and where does that come from? It comes from the media. There’s not even been any discussion, so end of discussion. It has never been talked about in this building. It’s business as usual in this building.”

Of course, the rumors about Zorn’s lack of job security stem from business as usual at Redskin Park where owner Dan Snyder has employed six coaches during his 10 seasons.
